Did Jim start its life as hot metal?

When Jim spoke to the Toronto Type Club, he talked a bit about his process. And if i understood/remember correctly, Jim starts the fonts digitally, then cuts them into metal, making tweaks along the way. I believe this is one that he did put into lead, but I’m not for certain. Maybe Jim will show up and clear things up for us. >^p
