Two Books and One Exhibition.

All curated by Peter Bain and Paul Shaw.

The books/exhibition deal with the history of Blackletter styles, as well as what nationalistic tendencies were put on top of each one (or which one some of the typefaces were made to embody).

One of the books is a series of essays, the other was a catalogue.

The exhibition was held in 1998 at the Cooper Union.
