No, I was talking about the squiggly one over the n :)

It shows up in the test #10.

I have been meaning to do a write up on tilde design, since I’ve never seen such an article, they all say “look at the other fonts for guidance” which isn’t always the best advice.

I’m guessing that with

I’m guessing that with “tilde” Matthew meant the acute accent (like in this “á”).
In latin-american countries “tilde” signifies any line-like trace over a character, as described by the Spanish’s Real Academy’s Dictionary.
I’ve heard it referring to both the ~ in the “ñ” and the ´ in the spanish vowels; in daily language the second use is much more common.

I have been looking around

I have been looking around but I haven’t seen a tilde yet. Which document is it in?

Actually it would be even better if you could contrast the good with bad! Any chance of that?

English designers: César’s tilde is exemplary. It has the feeling of rising slightly from left to right, but at small sizes is more like a macron, which besides being a good general guideline, perfectly fits with his goal of integrating handwriting features as that’s how Spanish speakers tend to write.

What about letting the top

What about letting the top of the lower case a recede a little bit. When I see the ca and ra it starts to feel tight. The right sidebearing on the r is part of it. It seems too tight. Maybe if that is given some air I will be happier with the a! The left sidebearing on the t may be a little tight too. Nice stuff to be sure.

Hello,

I just prepared this sample of Obliqua regular, italic and bold for your review. I hope you like it but, as always, any criticsm is very welcome.

Me encanta Obliqua.

Hmm, in the last versions I miss the tails as terminals on the ’a’ and ’d’ etc.?
Why have you removed those? That was one of the features that made it special and lively in my opinion. Those made me like it so much...
You should seriously consider on bringing those back, or at least supply them as alternates!

César:
Me parece genial tu tipografía.

Hello everyone,

The purpose in Obliqua is to combine certain features proper of hand-writing with the proportions of humanistic typefaces in order to achieve both legibility and personality for setting running text and titles.

I’d like to know what you think of this new typeface I’m developing (see attachments). All of your comments are welcome and very important to me.

Greetings,
